A KIMONO JACKET FOR WOMEN CELEBRATING LIFE AND DEATH WITH ITS JAPANESE DOKURO PATTERN
This kimono jacket for women is loaded with symbols and contrasts between life and death, between end and beginning, between good and evil.
The skull , dokuro in Japanese, seems to gradually disappear under climbing plants, as if nature had come to take back its rights. Moreover, a bird has built its nest right on top of its head and watches over its eggs, thus triumphing over death. However, a snake approaches and threatens to swallow the eggs, symbols of rebirth. Thus, an endless spiral is formed where life and death take turns in turn, thus creating the balance of our environment.
